Hey guys, happy Thursday!

No time to write, sorry! Hope you enjoy the update, and thank you for reading! :)

Hmmm, Kylie, I hope you can manage him...
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:13 PM edit delete reply
Well, now you've seen how well she managed him XD
MST3KFan 1st Jun 2017, 6:05 PM edit delete reply
Well, someone is going to get toyed with a bit here it looks like before the big fighting gets going.

(Also a minor misspelling in Panel 1 you have 'defenceless', when it's actually 'defenseless'.)
mjkj 1st Jun 2017, 6:14 PM edit delete reply
Hmmm, MST3K, might be the british variant of that...
A. Moose 2nd Jun 2017, 5:47 AM edit delete reply
It's the preferred spelling in all English varieties except the American one. Since Rufi is an English-native Hong Kong dweller... "defenseless" would be incorrect.
MST3KFan 2nd Jun 2017, 11:24 AM edit delete reply
Ah... See, I'm so unfamiliar with how different English really is among English speaking countries. Go fig.

Things like flavor versus flavour

Color versus colour...

And so on...

A majority of my readers are from the US if Google Analytics is to be believed, so I probably confuse quite a lot of you! XD; Sorry about that. Me and my Britishisms... ;P

Thanks Mjkj & A. Moose for explaining XD <3

"He's a lot stronger than any cleric I've ever met!"

The only cleric we've seen Kylie meet is Cain, so I can't say I'm surprised at her reaction.
Gilrandir 2nd Jun 2017, 12:44 AM edit delete reply
Kylie's instruction of Cain in group dynamics and tactics, however, implies that she has seen and worked with many previous clerics "off-screen", however. (At least in my opinion.)
Audacity__ 2nd Jun 2017, 1:23 AM edit delete reply
And I guess the way she said "any cleric" kinda implies that she's met more than one, so yeah.
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:15 PM edit delete reply
That cracked me up, Audacity XD poor Cain!!

But yes, you are both right; Kylie has met quite a few clerics before, in Lethian Guild questing in the past. Combat Clerics tend to solo on their own without joining adventuring parties, though, so she's never met one in person before.
HeSerpenty 2nd Jun 2017, 12:34 AM edit delete reply
Hahaahahaa weeell when the only cleric you been hangin out with for any length of time is Cain... I guess that is understandable, Kylie <333 Hehe
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:16 PM edit delete reply
I feel so sorry for Cain XDDD lolol! But it's so true... -v-*
DLKmusic 2nd Jun 2017, 8:30 AM edit delete reply
I Like him... can we keep him? Think of all the good stuff he could teach Cain!!! I think "excuse me" is a perfect name for a finishing blow too! Does that also mean his other finishing blows are "pardon" and "My mistake"?

I'm still confident that Kylie will figure it out, but she's gotta be impressed with him at this point! (I'll add that I'm more confident that Kylie will figure it out than I am that I will, anyway)
Lukkai 10th Jun 2017, 8:53 AM edit delete reply
Those names would be oh-so-very epic for a finisher! :D
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:17 PM edit delete reply
Oh my gosh, those names for those moves XDDD that's great ahahahaha (as Lukkai puts it, oh-sovery epic XD)

Kylie was a little bit too hasty in this battle, maybe... -v-

Hee, I knew his confidence wasn't unfounded... :D
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:18 PM edit delete reply
You know how awesome Combat Clerics can be! -v-*
KAM 2nd Jun 2017, 6:08 PM edit delete reply
Just pretend he's another cleric you get annoyed at. ;-)
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:18 PM edit delete reply
That probably would only induce much urge to grab his collar and yell at him XD
Gilrandir 3rd Jun 2017, 2:00 PM edit delete reply
And, of course, the coolest thing about Balzac is ... it looks like he's a fan boy. ^_^ (Tessenjutsu)
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:18 PM edit delete reply
I had to look that up! Dang! XD; It *does* look like an iron fan now that you mention it!

High defense (perhaps through buff spells), but low attack damage? So far, at least...
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:20 PM edit delete reply
Yeppers! Not just through buff spells (though those help) but just really solid body too, from working out properly ;) he's got a high vitality score, like Ren!

But yes, his attack damage isn't as high as most combatants, I'd think. Something's gotta give, right? XD;;
Proxy170 4th Jun 2017, 11:07 PM edit delete reply
Hm...kinda what I was expecting, with him not taking much damage but not dealing a lot either...will this battle be death by a thousand paper cuts? XD
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:20 PM edit delete reply
Essentially that's what it would boil down to, from what Balzac is able to dish out to his opponents XD I love how you put it, though!
The Accidental Ninja 6th Jun 2017, 1:36 AM edit delete reply
The Accidental Ninja
And then it turns out his ultimate attack is actually just conjuring up a bunch of sparkles
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:20 PM edit delete reply
Wait, wait, that's the Raiz's special attack, Balzac can't have that one XD
Crestlinger 8th Jun 2017, 1:40 AM edit delete reply
Go for the grass in his mouth.
K:'Why do you have an aphid-ridden blade of grass in your mouth?'
B:'What do you mean?'
K:'Do you Like eating bugs or something because there's a Ton of them crawling on you right now.'
*flails madly and rings out.
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:21 PM edit delete reply
LOL that would certainly distract and terrify *me*! XD;;;
Lukkai 10th Jun 2017, 8:55 AM edit delete reply
Probably buffed up to there. At least when it comes to defense and resilience. Though that's just my first impression.

Also not sure whether that attack of his is as harmless as it seems at first. I've got an idea or two here...
rufiangel 17th Jun 2017, 4:23 PM edit delete reply
I wonder if your ideas were grander than what we've seen! XD; Sorry if they were bit underwhelming!

For what it's worth, Balzac isn't fighting using his usual favourite weapon, because it's too OP for this tourney XD;;; he's just using a standard issue mace-thing. ;)
